We have another
excellent book and film review issue for the holidays of December, with
14 writers and reviewers submitting material. Some of them are the
steady, regular
contributors, some are the occasional writers and reviewers, and this
issue, we welcome Arlene Germain with her first review for IGW.
Those contributing articles and short fiction include:

Nell Warren: "Editorial
Egales: Important Resource for Spanish-Language GLBT Books,"

The Adventures of Ineeda Willingbottom "Where Do We

I've been a paid reviewer for Foreword
Magazine
for almost four years. I mention the paid part because it shows that Foreword takes a
professional
approach to its product, and in the world of self- and small
press-publishing, it takes a great deal of work, focus, and belief to
make it all come together. And I mention this particular book review
magazine because of its recent recognition.
FOLIO HONORS
FOREWORD
At a gala event at the Hilton on Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, ForeWord Magazine
was
honored for a second year with an EDDIE Award, FOLIO Magazine's tribute
to Editorial Excellence in the magazine industry. The 2004 Celebration
of Excellence "honored the best and the brightest in the magazine
industry." The awards gala was part of the 30th annual FOLIO: SHOW and
Conference in New York.
Pictured at right are Review Editor Alex Moore and Publisher Victoria
Sutherland.
Small presses are invited to submit books for review to Foreword (print
edition). The
online review segment is handled differently and is not in my opinion
as useful. | Books
