Welcome to TIGW going into its second year with this issue. In its first year of publication, this newsletter went from a one-person effort with a trickle of book reviews and a dearth of contributor-written articles, to an effort that encompases many people, including publishers, writers, professional reviewers, and readers—all making worthwhile contributions.

FromLips
From Upstart Press. From Our Own Lips. This is the book people have been waiting for... It is a collection of quotations by gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people. Some are no longer with us, others are very much alive and well. From Boy George to Oscar Wilde and from Sappho to Martina Navratilova the collection includes quotations from performers, writers, sportsmen (and women), politicians, comedians, about being gay.

The book will make the perfect present for that gay or lesbian friend, or better still for yourself! Whether you leave it beside the bed or in the bathroom you'll enjoy reading and pondering over the quotations from some of the GLBT Movement's leading icons. Some quotations are serious and profound, others are funny and frivolous. All the quotations come from people who are themselves gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. Enjoy!
